    very nice. I love the colors of the log cabin. And can't beat red and black (Go Georgia Dawgs!)

    it's a variation of the card trick made with squares and rectangles instead of half-square and quarter-square triangles.

    i hate to burst your bubble, but that quilt is red, white & blue.

    i live in georgia but grew up in pennsylvannia.
    so on the rare occasion i pay any attention at all to football, it's go Nittany Lions. lol

    i love log cabins but i totally "get" your normal ... err ... ummm... "aversion" to the color palette.
    it's one that you either really like or really don't.
    that particular quilt is made in memory of a friend who had said many times she wanted an orange quilt.
    in fact, most of the fabrics came from her collection.
    unfortunately she passed away before we got around to making one for her.
    she left me her entire stash of fabric and quilting stuff.

    it will be donated in her name, either to the local dialysis center or the local nursing home.

    Oh, Patrice, How wonderful these are! I really love the log cabin, of course, my favorite pattern, because the colors just sing out joy! Great quilts to finally finish up.
