Default Oopsie Daisy pattern by Darlene Zimmerman

What would you do? There are 20 sunbonnet sue blocks in this quilt. I am going to machine applique them but with what colour? Would you match each piece of clothing? Would you use white? What about the colour of the thin inner border? For example, green or maybe yellow? Would you use the blanket stitch or a small zig zag? The next 10 sues will face the opposite direction. The original pattern has three flowers on a stem so I am trying to use lots of colours for sue. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Oh my gosh, that is too cute. Since your colors are pastel, I would stick with either white or cream colored thread. I would use the blanket stitch and would use a light green for the thin border. Can't wait to see this one finished, it's just darling!

WOW, I like this already. I would probably use white to applique them on with a zigzag. The blocks really set the sunbonnet sues off great!

Blanket stitch with white or cream- and most any light pastel would work for the border - It is gorgeous Please post updates

If it's going to get lots of washings, the machine applique would be best. Blanket stitch tends to fray with time. A light cream might blend in better with the clothes.

I love your Sue's. I would use a small zigzag stitch around them. I'd probably use white thread. then I'd use a pink for an inner border. Whatever you decide, I'm sure it will be loved!!!
