Definately #2! The 1st isn't bad but I just can seem to get 'interested' in it, it's too random/scrappy. #2 gives you so much more to look at & study.
Very cool, I'm interested in looking up that pattern. Thanks & good luck!

my hubby would love the scrappy as it looks old fashioned and i like the second one better as i am a little OCD! LOL

Its difficult as they both look good, but trying to imagine them in a quilt top I prefer #2 as the same coloured blocks would pull the quilt together. Unless of course you wanted a totally random look.
