    I would put a solid colored sashing all around the pieced part of the quilt--I think it would set off the border fabric, which I really like. I'm thinking maybe a navy blue.?

    I like that the pieced center seems to float above the border. Its beautiful. Love it!

    I really like your quilt as it is, but agree that the print border seems somehow disconnected to the bold and beautiful drunkards path you have created.

    My suggestion is to try various widths of dark and light inner borders to see which creates the look you want. Then go with it!

    I agree it needs a narrow floater boarder of the light fabric between the quilt and the boarder you have chosen ...
