Personally, I like the scrappy patchwork look so I would connect the blocks directly together. Those fabrics are stunning! I'll have to look for some of those. Beautiful blocks you've made! Please post a picture when you've finished the top.

What beautiful fabrics. I really like those. I think a med. to med. lite green would work. I think that would help tone it down and not take away from teh beautiful colors and designs. Blue is one of my favorites, but I would not use it here. I agree the yellow would be too much.

Either framing or not, it will work. If you frame them, I'd be tempted to pick up the green and use a sage or lighter green fabric that picks up some of the leaf color in the fabric.

Here is a very bad picture (DD wouldn't hold still!) of a top I just finished 15 minutes ago. Maybe you can sort of get an idea of what it looks like framed. Personally I like the blocks to be framed.

I simply love April Cornell fabric. But I think that maybe when I read "you can't go wrong making mistakes on a D9P" I assumed that all these fabrics would work, and they do, but I wanted a peaceful quilt for our bed. It looks kinda busy to me to...... :D
I really appreciate all the responses. Funny thing, 2 people mentioned a light green and that was my original thought. But I also like the idea of scrappy so I'm still confused LOL :D

Pretty colors. I know a lot of people are saying blue or cream but I would do that green color, I like green it's one of my favorite colors. I would frame it in the green and then put the yellow in the centers. I know you were thinking no more yellow but the two together would be striking.

Sooz, that's really pretty, blurry and all haha
Thank you for showing me what framing would do. :D

I love the fabrics that you have chosen. I myself would frame with a creamy color as already suggested.
I think the fabrics are very busy right next to each other and somewhat take away from the variety of fabrics you have chosen. There is no place for the eye to stop....and take notice of a particular fabric..(if that makes sense)
Maybe try cutting a few strips of a frame fabric and lay it out then leave it alone for a day. Come back and take a look and see how you feel about it.
It is going to be beautiful either way you decide with such georgeous fabrics.

No doubt it will be beautiful whatever you decide. You really picked some lovely fabrics!

I agree with putting them on design wall, with different fabrics for sashing - then none at all, and see what calls you to most. Leave them up a few days and get a feel for each one. (Or the floor, or extra bed - whatever you have.) This is what I do when I cannot make a decision. It really helps me - hope it helps you too!
