My sister wants a purple quilt, so I made up this block. The pattern doesn't call for any sashing or anything, just the blocks. They are 12" finished. Is it too much purple?

It's not too much for me. I think it is great.

That looks a bit like a quilt that I am finishing for my daughter....have been working on it off and on for about 2 or 3 years. Hers is made of purple pinwheels and I have a simple plain lavendar border and will bind it with a dark print very much like your dark print. The contrast shows up well together.

Lovely block and not at all too much purple. The black background of one fabric and white of another make it "not so purple".

You can never have too much purple! Or blue, green, red, hmm, do I see a trend here? Anyway, think the block is lovely.
