I am making a Mother's Day hanging. I have three red fabrics in my stash. Which would you choose? Not sure what quilting block I would use to fill in the gaps.

I really like the red floral but I think the rose blocks would compete for importance. I would use the solid or a mix of roses and solids.

My first choice would be with the red; it makes your blocks stand out and then #3 if you want print. I think #1 fades away your main blocks too much. They need to stand out and be the focal point. The red would do that and possibl with some thin black sashing.

I like the bottom one also. Gives the embroidered squares a modern (20s-30s) look!!

I thought the bottom one would go better and maybe a pinwheel block. As mother's our mines are always spinning when our child/childrens are out and about.

I might put a small border on each block of the red and use the rose floral # 1.
