Yes, beautiful piecing, unbelievable quilting, and stunning colors! You may have already told others but I wondered about several things such as: what long arm did you use to do this; what thread, top and bottom, do you use; did you do a lot of ruler work or was it entirely free motion or computer generated to some degree; did you plan the design on the top and mark it or just wing it? I am sure there are many other questions to ask (other than can I come stay with you for a week and watch you quilt, ha) but I look forward to any questions you are willing to answer.

So sorry .... I just went back and read all that you posted and I think you answered all my questions. I was so stunned by the photos that I regretfully did not read your whole post before generating my questions. Thanks for putting all of the information in with the photos. Next time I read first then form questions if there are any.

Gorgeous quilt and quilting. Really stands out. I read the description and then posted my comment. Then I went back to see what QB member had so much talent (as I don't always look at who posts the thread). I was guessing it was you, Feline Fanatic, because of the outstanding quilting. And, I was so right. You are definitely one of a kind. Amazing.

    Hi Plee,

I didn't make this quilt, I only quilted it. But the circles were made using one of those wedge rulers, like this: http://www.connectingthreads.com/cft...paign=PPCgpGen

They were appliqued on and then edged with bias strips also appliqued by hand.
To do the circles in the quilting, I made a FP Template quarter circle 3" bigger in radius than than the appliqued to mark the circles for the quilted FG. I used an old fashioned string and a pin in the center to make a compass to mark the ray points for the center star. And for the smaller circles in the background I free handed them. I quilt on a 26" Innova longarm machine mounted on a 10 foot rack.

What a work of art: from the piecer to the quilter. WOW. Love the circles but the borders are amazing. You never cease to amaze me with your visions.

WOW, that is a very beautiful quilt and your quilting is amazing. Thanks for sharing. I have many items on my "Roundtoit" List, however, having made one Kaleidoscope quilt for my DH, I do not want to make another one.
