Wow, I agree with everything everyone said. Your work is just so beautiful. Truly amazing what a difference color placement does to a SAS....I had to look twice. Very intriguing. Also, thanks for the pattern info.

i love a good challenge, but i learned long ago, just because someone else can make it has nothing to do with whether or not i can! much to my chagrin! but it is definitely a beautiful design. i would want to do it as a pp design, but haven't tried that yet. do you think this would be a good first pp'd pattern?

Yes and No .......... it is not hard to do the paper piecing, so it would be easy enough to do.
However, it is fairly large, so takes a lot of persistence to follow thru.
A little confusing to get the colour placements right, but not difficult if you organize yourself.

When I think of when I started at PPing .... I'd go for doing something smaller first, to get my PPing routine figured out. Then, yes, I would have probably have jumped right into it.

Sometimes, not knowing any difference, we can all go ahead and achieve great things! So go for it!!!!!!!

great job, and I like that you did not go with fabric that was winter oriented so you could keep it up for the winter months.

QuiltE: First let me say a big Thank You to you for posting your beautiful piece. I have owned this pattern for over a year and have been daunted by the size and the struggle to find just the perfect fabrics. Like you I want a piece that can stay up longer than just Christmas. I love how you used a lighter fabric for the background, inspiration #1; reducing the size #2, color choices and placement #3.
Your stunning work has really inspired me to attempt mine.
Would you let me know what size your block A was at 75%? I can easily reduce my pattern as I print it, as I bought directly from eQuiltPatterns.com. That info would be a great help. Thanks.

I happen to LOVE Christmas everything! The ornament quilt is just beautiful. The table runner is lots of fun. I am sure you and your friend had a great time doing your projects together!
