I would put a narrow light blue border with a wider dark blue border. Lay the fabrics out alongside the quilt top and audition the fabrics. See what combination you like. See what looks good in the room where it will be used.

It is BEAUTIFUL! I would definitely go with a dark brown for the inner border, as you want to frame it. For the outer border I would think a subtle mixture of brown and blue, just so long as it doesn't take the focus off of the top of the quilt. Again, BEAUTIFUL!

It is beautiful! Does it really need a border? Sometimes a quilt is great when kept simple. This is a quilt you want to SEE. I think a border wouldn't add any more to it! If it's a matter of the drop on the side of the bed, make a bed skirt! Love it!
