    Dazzleme & MGRHS - your (my?? LOL) butterfly blocks are wonderful!!! Variety is what I was looking for so I'm off to a great start on my butterfly quilt!!!

    The mother of all butterfly blocks for Annmarie!!! Tried to make it look like a monarch butterfly. Colors are brighter than picture. We tried to darken it and that helped a little.

    Have done the butterfly block twice now...1st time..the points on the triangles were too close to the edge.. 2nd time..the whole darn block is 1/8" too big!!! :cry: :cry: :cry:

    Hmmmm...maybe I should just applique a butterfly on a 12 1/2" block :roll:

    Ladies
    Annmarie's butterfly blocks have no size she wants them to be varoius sizes. Do not worry about that. We are all okay with 6in, 9in, and so on!!!

    I am working on this block. It was on the cover of mccalls Quilting June 1997.. It took forever to collect th exact fabric.
    I am sewing it by hand.
    Called Stars for A Cure. This is a CHALLENGE BLOCK...
