    Default our community service day

After the guild meeting this morning, we broke into teams, mostly of two, and made blocks or put quilts together. It was a regular manufacturing line. My partner cut and pressed while I pieced. I'd never made string blocks before but always wanted to. We made 18 of these:

Really nice of you to participate in a community service project. I've never tried a string quilt but I will have add it to my to make list. Beautiful blocks!

I'm gradually making blocks for a string quilt. I'm making one block of fabrics from each quilt I've made to put together a memory string quilt for myself.

That sounds like a lot of fun, plus getting rid of scraps and going for a good cause.
