    Your journey out of your comfort zone is very pretty and so artistic. I recently did the owl by this designer. I really enjoyed doing it even though it was way out of my comfort zone. My lesson was to embrace the unfamiliar. I hope you will be willing to venture out again into new territory. This adventure is stunning.

    The negative space is actually organza ro mimic the transparency of some fin portions.

    It took a lot of guidance from my friends to understand how different this is from regular collage, snippets, confetti etc.
    I would say think about colour first and choose your fabric that way.
