Default Out of my comfort zone...

...but, I think it turned out OK.

These colours are definitely not "me" but I was trying to do something that was a bit different from my usual. This will be for my niece who is going to colour and cut my hair but won't take any money!

Nice! I would say that was very unusual for you, but I really like it!

Turned out great! I know what you mean about out of your comfort zone. I find it really hard to use colors that just don't feel like me. One of the hardest quilts I have made was in someone else's colors. They loved it.

I agree it is very difficult to make anything that isn't comfortable for you, whether it is the color, the design or pattern. That's why I won't make quilts for money. If it is in your niece's colors, she will love it.

Just because it's just "ok" to you doesn't mean someone else won't be crazy about it. I made a tree skirt with a similar pattern and felt the same way HaHa! I am sure she will love it.

Love the creativity of the design -- and the colors!

Looks awesome Watson; someone who cuts and colors hair is likely to be artistic by nature so I bet this will really appeal to her.

That's really nice, Watson. I once made my niece a quilt in her favorite colors and it was not at all my style but she loved it and that made me really happy.
