I whipped this little scrap quilt up this morning, about 3 hrs including hand stitching the binding in front of the tv. I didn't trim any of the triangles, that's how they came out of the scrap bin. Same with the binding, it was leftover strips trimmed from a larger quilt. Measures 13x20," simply raw edge appliqued to a white quilt sandwich (I love those $4 flat sheets from walmart for projects like this, cheap & I have no prob with the poly/cotton blend, they wash up nicely). I've wanted to make a "ticker tape" quilt for a while, this is my version called "Ticker Triangled." (snicker, the things I think of while I sew...) I'm going to hang it vertically on the outside of the bathroom door to brighten up the panelled hallway.

Also included a pic of the "found" clips I use for binding. I hate stabbing myself with pins, these often come with clothing but I got this batch from a pre-packaged quilt kit I bought last fall. Thanks for looking!

Care if I use your idea? I love this! I can see table runners, placemats, coasters, potholders, baby blankets, etc. done in a day with this pattern. Very pretty!!!!

Great little quilt...great idea for the clips.....I worry I may drop a pin and one of my dogs will find it and get caught in his throat.

You're an inspiration with your creative idea! I often get stuck in a rut...and as far as those little triangles I seem to just toss them out...a new found way to put them to use! Thanks. And those clips!!!! great idea! :)
