Love your quilt. Checked out the blogspot and got lots of ideas. I know just what to do with some ugly fabric. Also thought I could practice some fmq on my dsm. Lots of scraps to get rid use up.

I am in the process of pairing down my scraps and this is going to go a long way to empty my bins. Thanks so much, I subscribed to the thread so I can find it when I am ready to start.

What an inspiration that is!!!!!!! I was just wondering the other day what to really do with all those strips I've accumulated, now I THINK I know.......but I also know, from my history, that this MAY start out gong ho, end up another pile of ??????.....any ideas on keeping focus!
also, how about 2" strips.... 1 1/2" seem so scant!!!!!!!!
also, someone mentioned subscribing to a thread....where was that, I must gave missed it! That might help motivate!!!!!!

Thanks everyone. The nice thing about this is you don't have to think much! If I recall the blog post tells you to cut your pieces smaller. This lazy gal just sewed whatever length I had and cut it to 10 1/2". After I had quite a few made I started using 10 strips to make blocks...soon I had 30 blocks done.
I figure about 90% of this quilt is from donated odds and ends.
Tessagin, you are right on...it makes a great practice piece.
ube, it'll start to make a dent.
And yes there is no reason why larger widths can't be used...I plan on doing that myself...
