Default Owl quilt for new baby!

I made this quilt for my niece's first child. They didn't want to know the sex until the child was born. Well, it's a boy! Charles is 7 lb 7 oz and 22 in long. November will be a busy month for his family. My niece's birthday is 11/10, she and her husband were married on 11/11/11, and the baby was born on 11/12/13!

I designed this quilt using owl coloring pages from the internet for my appliques. The back is the same material as the border. It reminds me of the fall foliage. It was a really simple quilt to make.

Beautiful quilt - of course I was a big owl collector back in the late 60's early 70's.

That is adorable. I bet the baby will love it. I love the bright colors you used, too!
