Default Owl Quilt: One or Two Border Rows?

I'm making this 36"x39" quilt as a wall hanging for my newest grandbaby. But, I'm debating whether I should remove one row of the border on each (R/L) side to make it a bit smaller. The original quilt pattern had no right/left borders but that felt unfinished to me. Would appreciate comments.

Personally, I would leave the two borders.

Darling quilt. I would leave both borders, also.

I like it. I wouldn't take them off unless the size is a problem for the wall space.
