I just had to post a picture of Eleanor Burns' tent fabric sale. They were such sweet people to deal with and very fast. The bolts went on forever. This was just one of three spots in Paducah where whe was selling fabric for $5 or less a yard. I was in heaven.

Her show is different each year and a hoot. Would not miss it. Eleanor walks around for autographs and pictures and is very gracious.

Wow, maybe if I am very good I might get to go to the Paducah show some year. Praying hard.

Ohh, I'd love to get to go there. I really like Eleanor Burns. She has such great ideas for speeding up making a quilt. the first quilt I ever made was her Trip Around the World quilt, and the second was a Lone Star from one of her books. Both were done at a week long workshop, I think we also learned something to do with applique at that same workshop. I simply fell in love with quiltmaking, especially her way of doing it. I hope to do her Jewel Box Quilt one of these days.

I was in Paducah for 4 days and the person who drove was an "ultimate fabric shopper". She took us to the three locations every single day.

The fabric was lovely quality from a huge number of manufacturers from South Sea Imports to Thimbleberries and everything else. I would say 99% was the highest quality.

We have already signed up for next year and I have started a list.

Eleanor Burns" batiks were in the big store building next to the fabric tent and back by the machines and were fantastic. $6 per yard. I got some great green with leaves on it.

Paducah is in the far west corner of Kentucky. South of Ilinois on the Ohio river where all the flooding is happening. The AQS show is there in April. Eleanor Burns ramps up for the week of the quilt show with the tent and her shows. I dont know what she has the rest of the year.
