Gosh, I'm not usually a fan of bargellos but I really like the pattern that you picked and your fabrics are great!!! The only one I'm wondering about is the yellow...it's intensity seems greater than the other fabrics. Don't know if that's okay with bargellos...this is just what caught my eye looking at my computer screen. (And I know things can look different on each computer). Best of luck with this! She'll love it!

i agree with the posting that the yellow seems to vibrant with the others. if the instructions call for 28 strips i would use 28, not 29. will it make a difference?? i don't know.

I would be a bit concerned about the Number 1 strip. I think the white in it may cause a problem.

what karenm36 said-- this is one of the few bargellos I've seen that I've liked. Makes me even consider doing one... mmm....

I'm like many of the others, not normally a bargello fan. Yet this one has got my attention! shows how different quilts can look based on the fabric selections used.

Agree the yellow and white/rose batik jumped at me as being potentially wrong. Also, the pale blue one. Yet as others have said, perhaps that's needed to give a little bit of punch rather than total gradation of the colours?

The whiter one, I wondered if it was because it's the first in the line up? Perhaps moved your strips, keeping in the same order to see if the white is more subtle when next to the other. As it will become as you do your bargello.

Just some thoughts .... and will anxiously await to see your results!

I agree on the white. It doesn't "go" so well. Also, I think there should be another yellow towards the end of the right side (25, or 26 maybe). You have a lot of darks. Maybe some mediums or lights so it will "flow".

I've only made 1 bargello so I'm no expert. It will be beautiful :)
