    I think that's the picture, the border fabric is 8.75", I quilted the paisley border chain 7.5" leaving the 1.25" on the outside(after binding it should look real nice) The quilt is 112x 95 so when looking at the whole quilt instead of a section the proportions don't look out of scale.

    Quilting by pictures can be misleading sometimes.
