I certainly agree with all of the above comments. My father-in-law, an art major, told me that paisley originated in the Middle East where the important people used the side of their hand in the same way we use finger prints. Imagine holding your hand sideways with the fingers slightly curved, the side of the palm being fatter, putting it on an ink pad and then stamping an important document that way. I find paisleys so fascinating!

I really enjoyed my quilting in the hoop. I have a nice leaf that flips up behind my sewing cabinet, which helps greatly on supporting the weight of the quilt. (Takes up lots of room in my little space) This was also a twin size, but have done larger. I was so proud to master the software on the machine, in that I could keep the quilt going in one direction, but alternate the direction of the paisley. And yes, I agree, paisley is one if my loves and it fascinates me. Didn't know the history shared in this thread! Thanks.
