I had these bird panels and didn't know what to do with them.. dh said to make a table runner but it would be something I would never use.. I decided to make it into a purse... I didn't want to really cut the panel for a top and bottom so i just cut it and added piping and rematched the birds... I just have to add the side ties to it.. also I didn't want to change the floral border that was on the panel so I left it wide and made it the purse handles... it's a totally different look..
what do you think about panel vs. bow tuck?

Awesome! I just love it - of course, I am a bird lover - but I have several panels acquired over the years that I have been at a loss as to what to make with them and this is just great. Thank you for the inspiration!
