This was my papaw's quilt. I thought it was long gone. My dad was given it when pap died. He had it all these years stored away. My sis and I took care of dad in his last years and I chose this when we found it amounst his things.

I gave this to my brother when he said he wanted it. But, he wanted me to have it back. I don't know why.

I thought I would share it with you all. It is from the depression era. (I think) I have never had it appraised, so I am not sure. But, researching the pattern and fabrics, this is what I assume.

Beautiful and think of all the memories that quilt holds within its stitches.

It's beautiful. I wonder if it was handed down to your papaw from his mother. If only this quilt could talk.

Beautiful! It sounds like you have such a loving family with good hearts. It is so great to hear when everyone gets along and shares things.

A beautiful quilt, and it seems to be in great condition, too. Best of all is that it came to you from your Papaw.
