[quote= I have been trying to relearn pp this week and other than one block, they have all been wrong. I have done this before with not too many problems. I have to blame the errors on a fuzzy head and a sick tummy from my recent flu shot. I just can't get the fabric going in the right direction and end up sewing both sides to the paper and can't cut off the excess to get the 1/4 inch seams.I have watched all of the tutes on youtube that I can find and each one is different so confusing to try to blend them.

I know how you feel! Then our guild had a fantastic program on paper piecing miniatures, and, surprise, surprise -- it's doable!

We did a block of "The Bird of Paradise" (5th example). George's ruler (click on "My Seam Allowance") made cutting 1/8" easy (it can also cut 1/4".)
