A paper-piecing WIP.

wow, that is impressive. I am just doing my first paper pieced (foundation pieceing is what I usually call it) project but I don't think I have been bitten by the bug. I have done a small log cabin table thing or doll quilt thing to try out the process. Glad it works for you and I do love the variation you have achieved along with the colour work. Keep it up.

I just learned paper piecing too, Did you use reglar paper or did you use vellum paper? I bought a pack of paper for paper piecing but it was kind of expensive. I needed tons on flying geese for a border and used regular copy paper on that one since it was such a simple pattern. I'll save the good stuff for something hard. I found that craft tweezers were helpful in getting the paper out of the points. Your sampler is gonna make a stunning quilt.

:-D
I plan on this (below) being a "paper-piecing sampler quilt" when I'm done and I can fit it all together. I am just looking all over the web for paper-piecing patterns, and when I see one I like, I print it out and give it a shot. The biggest block is 18" and the smallest is 3". Some were simple and some had me banging my head on the sewing machine. And yeah, all the paper is still attached. (groan)

Pat this is gorgeous, you sure have paper piecing down pat...Maybe now you can write a tut for the rest of us and share all the sites that have paper piecing patterns.
