    Default Parrots are done...

I purchased this panel on e-bay over a year ago & finally got to work on it. I used one layer of poly batting & one layer of W&N batting between the layers. When I detailed it, it made everything really pop! Two funny things have happened regarding this panel. My daughter called the day I sandwiched this to start quilting & told me she bought this fantastic panel at JoAnn's while buying more fabric for our granddaughter. Her DH put a picture up so I could see what it looked like. Now this young lady has never touched a sewing machine & she's telling me she wants to make a wall-hanging that she can take off the wall & use as a quilt! It was this same panel! LOL! Then yesterday, I remembered years ago buying a bird panel at WalMart in another county & got the bag out to see what it looked like. Now I have 5 more chances to get that waterfall right!! LOL! Plus I have coordinating backing & two pillows that match as well! I knew I liked this panel; just didn't realize how much!! :-)

Love your story! I'm trying to organize my fabric and as I pulled out unopened bags from my sewing room, I found 3 one yard cuts of the same fabric. A) I really like that fabric and B) I really need to stop buying fabric!

THe panel is really nice! Can you use a metallic on the waterfall to make it sparkle like sunlight on water?

I did use metallic thread on the waterfall, pictures just don't pick it up well. I just made straight lines, so I'm not happy with it & my sister who's an artist is in town so I'm going to ask for her ideas to fix it.

I have a feeling just about everyone has that panel stashed somewhere, the colors on it are fantastic. Need to pull mine out and start quilting.

Love the panel. Could you supply us with more info on maker or product number, etc. I would like to find this fabric if I can. Thank you for sharing.

I have recently seen these same panels in JoAnn's Fabrics and on E-bay.
