    I would definitely try it. Anything to help him so he won't get discouraged. He is so precious sitting at that machine with that proud smile on his darling face. When my son was a senior in high school, he needed one more credit, so he signed up for the home ec class. He learned to clean the sewing machine, etc. (He's an awesome mechanic today) One of his projects was designing and making a set of vinyl covers for his guitar amps. A while back, he came to visit and was carrying a pair of jeans. I asked him if he needed some mending done. He said, No, it's OK, I'll do it myself. {{{{{{{proud mama}}}}}}}}
