Thanks all, I guess it is for me. I didn't have a recipient in mind, just wanted to make a patriotic one. Yes, it's my own design.
My nephew is buying my parents' house and I'm thinking of a quilt as a housewarming gift. I don't know if a young, single man would appreciate this one though.

this old (sorta), married woman knows how to appreciate a quilt. hint hint.
actually Pam- this is awesome- your quilts are amazing. I love this, but my favorite is still your dahlia quilt. I bow down to you, my quilt queen!
(would you ever make it into a pattern to sell?)

I like this one too and I've spent more time on it than even the dahlia I think. The dahlia STILL needs the applique finished on the pillow area and I've been procrastinating because I havent decided on a border design either. I did say somewhere here that I vowed to have it done by the end of this year and I was told that y'all WOULD remember that!
I wouldn't feel right selling a pattern of it. The blocks are all pretty standard, old faithfuls, that I got from EQ6 and Quilter's Cache. Even the center is from the Baltimore Album for EQ6 collection. I would give anyone who wanted it the EQ6 file or measurements.

No, I don't think I will hand quilt it. It's pretty big and it would take me forever to do. I still have a log cabin quilt in the hand quilting frame that's only about 1/4 to 1/3 quilted.
I'll have it done by a LAQ so it will be DONE.
