I think it looks great-very stylized or artistic. I'd leave it but if it bugs you, happy ripping! Really beautiful quilt!

I agree with Darren...leave the flag as it is.

Bubblegum your quilt is beautiful. Don't you dare take out all that lovely quilting!

If it bothers you I thought of an idea for you. You could make a seperate small quilted banner that says something patriotic and make it a 3d addition over the bottom part.

But, if it were mine, I would leave it. It is wonderful.

I agree that you should leave the quilt as is. I like it.

The flag is symbolic. I would leave it. Very nicely done.

I think the quilt is so beautiful that it would be hard to adjust it without it being noticable. I agree, this doesn't have to be exact, good just as it is. I am sure the person receiving the gift will be so happy to receive this fantastic quilt.

I agree the flag quilt looks fine. It has a nice folk art look to it! Love the other one too!

You are so right about that wesing. I was thinking of that same idea too. It would be considered disrespectful to use a flag as a quilt. However, this will be a wall hanging and I will actually leave it as is, and simply let it go. This wallhanging was meant to represent the USA and for all our fallen heros from 9/11. I am going to put a dedication in all 4 corners when its done.

    Thanks for all your help.
