This is a quilt I made for my sister. The original plan was to use the great Colonial panels and 8-pointed stars. After a few months of wrestling with the 8-pointed stars, I decided to make it a sampler and made some additional patches out of simple squares. The stars just seem to be out of my league. Later on, I discovered the joys of paper-piecing, so I might try stars again with paper-piecing.

Wow, it is pretty, and a ton of work! What a lucky sister you have there.
