    MTS - your numbers are correct. And yes, I have 2 complete blocks leftover and not quite 1/2 of 6 different blocks leftover as well.

    When I've used patterns that had leftover blocks - for color placement - the pattern SAID there would be leftovers.

    The pattern is indeed easy - in fact the blocks were so easy I got bored making them! Broke up the job with out little projects and it still didn't take very long to do.

    My local quilt shop has one made up using this pattern with browns and blacks - almost animal prints if I remember correctly. It's gorgeous.

    I guess it's easier for some designers to make extra 'full' blocks and just remove the leftover ends. I hate the waste so I make partial blocks. Drives me nuts - grew up with too many depression story lessons.

    I think its beautiful, love the pattern and colors..I would just add one more row at the bottom and top to make it look even, you did a great job on it,...now I know what my next quilt would be ...
