Did I miss how you assembled the biscuits once you had them made? Did you sew them together in rows? Or is it easier to divide the quilt top into "blocks" (so to speak) and then sew the blocks together?

This is such a good take-along project and not too hot to work on in the summer!
It's been so long ago that I really don't remember exactly how but the queen bed one with the large flowers I sewed each flower one at a time and the added the white ones between the flowers sewing them together by hand.

For the throw, I just added biscuit to biscuit stitching by hand going across each row until it was the width I wanted and then worked each row across going down until it was the length I wanted and it is a perfect throw year round. My favorite in IL on those cold nights and here in FL when ever a little something is needed be it from the AC blowing on me (ceiling vents) or cold nights in Jan. Feb. We do get chilly here those two months.

Enjoy and please share your results.

Finally finished my granddaughter's biscuit quilt. Started it mid July and finished it mid September 2011 which is good timing for me. Yes, the biscuits are machine stitched on all but one edge which is hand whipped and then the biscuits are hand whipped together. Since she's taller than me, this is made the length of my height which is 5'2" and wide enough to wrap up in as she likes to wrap up in her throws. Anything smaller just won't do, in my opinion. The fabrics go way back to my 2nd quilt which is now badly worn beyond use, fabrics used to make my daughter maternity clothes when she was carrying KT and there are baby sun suit fabrics and a couple of cute dress fabrics from when KT was little. Also there are fabrics from other quilts I've done including scraps from the quilt welcoming her Dad into the family, her baby quilt etc., etc., etc. My scrap quilts normally are tied to previous quilts if at all possible. My previous quilts were made using high loft batting. This one was done using low loft batting.

Thank you Scrappymom. If you go back to the earlier posts of this, the instructions and photos of 2 other quilts are shown.
