What a great thing! Not only do the kids find a sense of self worth and accomplishment, but of giving too! Bless you for doing this!

Do you have FreeCycle where you are? If so, maybe you can get donations of more fabric from them. And service clubs, male and female, they might help some.
There should be regular articles in your local newspaper that might ask for fabric to be given to the school. And since it is a Church school, how about an article every now and then in the Church bulletin?

Wonderful. You are teaching sewing plus giving. These are the things that many kids miss at home.
Keep up the good work, you are making a difference in someone's life

Wonderful! I'm not a teacher but was thinking exactly what pab said- instilling confidence. I'm a Mom of 3 boys and they all learned to sew. They made things and had a lot of fun as little boys but the main thing for me was learning and doing things together too. In fact, at least 2 of them made projects at school involving sewing and they knew what to do!
    Your pics are just awesome!!

I love a great smile of accomplishment. I am always amazed by what young people can and will do given the opportunity. Food does help because at that age they can eat every hour on the hour for an hour. :-)

Now you can tell your students they are internationally recognized for their work.

That is totally awesome! I'm so glad you're able to get the boys involved. It's good for all of them to do something good for somebody else, and they can have fun while they're doing it!
