I have had co workers ask me to make them a quilt. I always tell them: you must buy the fabric you want, the pattern you want me to use and tell me how you want it quilted so that I can tell the LAQ what you want done. Then they must pay the LAQ. I usually donate my time (because most people are agog when I tell them how much I would charge for a quilt that was not for a friend) and thread (sometimes). Once I tell them how much I charge for a quilt that I have to furnish fabric, LAQ, time and thread, they usually back off.

It definitely has the jeweled tones that I associate with peacocks, but the balance of colors doesn't scream peacock to me. If you look at photos of peacocks or peacock feathers, the teals, blues, and greens are pretty dominant, with just a touch of the other jewel tones. You've definitely used the colors of the peacock palatte, but if I looked at that without you telling me what it's supposed to be, I would never in a million years have guessed peacock, I don't think. Just my two cents! Both quilts are really beautiful though!
