it is very pretty. Check thrift stores for cotton shirts, men and womens, cotton napkins. Also look in the Thrift stores for bed skirts to cut up. I love scrappy. Some quilt stores sell scrap bags. Sometimes you can find bundles of fat eighths, bundles of 3" or 5" squares. Lots of people cut scraps and sell them online. It won't take you long to get gobs of scraps. If it is over 1", it does not get thrown away with me. Hope this helps.

I have been quilting for more than 25 years and swear the scraps multiply in the closet! The more scrappy quilts I make the more scraps I have. Strange but true. Does anyone else have a "magic closet" like mine? Amazing facts about quilter's closets.
I have only been quilting for 8 yrs, but I have the same problem of the "magic closet multiplying scraps". I use to think it was only wire hangers that did that :)

One of our local quilt shops sells Fat Eights for $1. I started years ago buying a couple each visit and now have a pretty basket full. What a beautiful quilt you have. I am going to be going on a cruise with Bonnie Hunter as the quilt teacher for the duration. She is a scrappy quilt guru and I hope to gleen lots of information from her. Have fun building your future stash...

Beautiful! I just finished my first "scrappy" quilt and it does not have borders. It is the first quilt I have made without borders, but it will definitely be easier to quilt without them.

I think around page 3 of this thread another lady posted a link to the block design.

Thanks again for the nice comments and suggestions.
