My daughter rarely uses borders and hers turn out just fine. I love your scrappy. Looks fine without borders.

Lovely! I make lots of scrappies - some with borders and some without. Yours will look great whatever you decide

I have done several scrap quilts and usually add borders, when I don't add borders it looks unfinished , to me. Yours is lovely.

Your quilt is beautiful. I don't think it needs a border. If you have access to a Goodwill or thrift store they can be a great source of small pieces of fabric at little cost.

Oh my! What a beauty. It's your quilt. You don't have to put a border if you like it as is. My dear Auntie never bordered a quilt. She just didn't like borders. Her quilts were beautiful.
As for finding scraps, Connecting Threads has charm packs and fqs on sale this week.

As others have said, the ladies on here very often either give away or sell a box or mailing envelope of scraps. It's a good way to get colors other than the ones that you choose also. I tend to buy the same colors all the time...my favorites but a wider range of colors makes for a more interesting scrap quilt.

After finishing a purple pin wheel quilt for my daughter who loves purple, I worked up a scrap quilt of mostly blue and yellow plaids from men's shirts from the thrift store and she had the same reaction as your husband. She likes the purple one but she loves the scrappy. Go Figure.

Really nice job. I've made the same quilt several times and have done it both way, border and no border.

Great looking quilt, there are no rules for finishing your quilt, it's yours so finish it how you want!
