Penquin Quilt
#44
Thanks everyone -
Patterns is called Penquin Quilt link - http://www.etsy.com/shop/countedquilts , I added a couple of extra borders. I have made a couple of hers now and they come together so quickly. You must label each piece you cut though otherwise you would get in a real muddle - I just use zip lock bags, and label them a,b,c etc.
Aubrey's Quilting Creation - Christy that quilted it for me on her quilting machine said she didn't have any problems. She thought the bubbles in the minkee might distort with the straps on - but they look fine to me.
I have quilted on my home sewing machine with minkee for the backing, i didn't have much of a problem - pinning heaps is essential, as well as using a walking foot.
WORD OF CAUTION - Do not let a hot iron touch the minkee, and don't iron the bubble minkee at all - the iron takes out the bubbles.
