    Default Peppermint Quilt

My version of a peppermint quilt that daughter wanted. It is paper pieced from Piece by Number. Called Swirligig, Version B. Daughter wanted red and I found the peppermint fabric for the sashing. The borders were going to be all peppermint but I measured wrong and decided not to waste and put the white square for the corner post. I will ask my la to put something in red on it and I think it will be ok looking. I am happy with it.

Lots of motion going on in there, looks like a fun quilt. I agree that a little touch of red in the corners will be perfect.

Yes, there is a lot of motion going on. Daughter wanted red in the squares - I would have preferred white and trimmed out with the peppermint. Sometimes we just have to think outside the box. What we think will be iffy is sometimes what another creative person wants - so we just go with the flow.

great, the touch of red in the corners will be perfect.
the white corner blocks mimic the white squares in the sashing very well.

My DD is just recently looking at things in my quilting room.... she has loved my quilts through the years and has many of them... but she made 4 placemats recently with the DP4 block.... and after she machine quilted them in the ditch... she said.... Mom ... I can't believe you give your quilts away after all this work! Her colour choices aren't mine, but I am so proud of her and love it when we all come up with just our little "own" touches.
