Periwinkle Quilt

..."in the star points..." Wow! This patchwork square is also known as the "Arkansas Snowflake" which has some typical country-style self-deprecating humor in it... I've always thought of it as a humble pattern, but you with your swirly circling feathers has elevated it into the "O!M!G!" category. Thanks, ever so much for sharing your beautiful artistry.

I think your quilting really sets off this simple quilt pattern. Even the backside looks fantastic. I also like how she used an orphan block on the back. I try to use as much of my cuttings as possible as my scrap box is overflowing as it is now. Like how she used a special border fabric to spice up the pattern. Will have to put this one on my "Future" list.

This quilt was sent to me by board member ladypetite to long arm quilt. Once again she did an amazing job. She decided she wanted feathered wreaths in solid blocks and petals in the star points. I did a tiny feather in border with circles going around the tiny flowers. Everything is freehand as I do not have a computerized machine. I am mailing it back to her today and I sure hope she likes it as much as I do. There is always so much inspiration on this board. Thanks to all.
