Unless that's not the pattern you're using. Great set up and awesome for your daughter for a new machine. What one are you and your wife planning to get her?

here's one of many posts on the board about disappearing nine patch just in case ;)
Actually, I did cut all of the rectangles for the blocks last night (all 140 of them!). The article in the magazine that I'm going by has 4 pieces of fabric per block - 2 long rectangles and then 1 big block and 1 small block.

I don't know what machine we're going to get her yet, but I'm sure our local dealer is looking forward to seeing us in their doorway again. :D

Haha! I actually hesitated to post the picture because I thought it looked too messy! I'm kinda of particular about having a neat workspace, clutter makes me crazy.

My wife does the machine embroidery, but my daughter does do quilting of sorts - she does horseback riding so she likes to make saddle pads, which are basically a quilted pad thrown over the horse under the saddle. She has friends who've paid her to make them pads in all kinds of wild fabrics (seems like that's the thing now, to see who has the craziest looking saddlepad on their horse). Now that I've gotten into quilting, though, theyr'e both REALLY getting interested in it as well.

Well, DITTO for everything that was said before me, i.e. great work space and machines and I really like your fabrics and I can't wait to see your progress/finished quilt. Now...for my own thoughts. Your wife's machine is amazing looking (and a little intimidating). You're right -- it probably does bake cakes, also...along with 18-wheeling them across the country. The first thing I noticed, and liked, about your room was the metal shelving on the walls. What great space to get stuff out of the way. I like that!

    Keep us posted!
