Photos of sewing room / first quilt project
#43
I thought I'd post my first progress photo, which is below. I've got the blocks all pieced together now! After I had 4 rows done, I decided that I didn't like one of the colors used for the larger blocks, so I removed those 4 squares and sewed in a different pattern for those. And I learned how to use a seam ripper in the process! :D
Next, I need to work on the borders, which will be an inner border using that stripped material, and an outer border using the dark green material.
I'm having fun! :)

Now that's a manly sort of quilt. *L*
Welcome. I do hate when the instructions figure out the worse way to make a quilt and publish it like it was the bible.
But that's part of the learning curve. You will figure better and easier ways as your experience grows. I am glad you persevered.
Nice room y'all put together but when I quilt alone, I prefer to be by myself.

Eddie:
Love the sewing room, nice set up with plenty of room. I especially like that you can do something together.
Love the fabric choices, the quilt should be beautiful when it is done. Of course you will post pictures of the finished project right?? You can even post some as you go along, we all love pictures.
Please post pictures of your daughter's birthday present too, we love seeing new machines.
Keep up the nice work and have fun.

Two questions; where is the stereo??? Are you missing a chair? :D
Silly me, just teasing but did want to say I love the pattern you chose too.

We went ahead and got my daughter her birthday present a little early, since she was having some trouble with that old clunker of a sewing machine she had. We got her a Brother Innovis 40 and she's just happy as can be now. :)
