50s ?? Japanese-made New Home (Janome) model 532 for DIL. Need instructions & accessories - I'll be looking.
OK cabinet, machine needs cleaning. Features: vertical bobbin, straight/reverse, zigzag, knee control, can drop feed dogs, sews nice even stitch.
I understand these post WWII Japanese machines had very tight specs & are well-made.
I skipped another I saw - also made in Japan, tourquoise blue Belvedere ST Deluxe precision - straight/reverse, no light, no zigzag, can drop feed dogs, vertical bobbin. Went back today & it is gone.
Please let me know if anyone has info on the machine I bought.
Sorry about extra post - have to learn where to put machine info & pic.

Why don't you ask in the vintage machine thread? That one is definitely pre 1975. Just go to the thread and 'reply'. Your question will be posted. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-43881-1093.htm#3315697

I like the looks of the machine.

Love the machine. I had two like that given to me after Hurricane Katrina. Had them in my shed to clean up and the grandchildren left the door open and their feet decided to help the take a good walk.

I found this site where you can order an instruction manual for this machine (PDF download) for $10:

    Good luck!
