    Beautiful quilt! I have some of my brother's clothes saved to make a quilt. 3 1/2 years later I am still not able to open the box without crying. Maybe someday I will be able to do it.

    Maybe starting with a picture quilt like yours would help.

    Thank You everyone for your kind words and thoughts . Yes it was very hard to do especially so soon, but it gave me a chance to go through pics and remember and for me that was good. My sil ( his wife) wants me to make her a quilt from his clothes, I am not ready to do that yet, not sure when or if. That quilt would be a lot tougher on me. This board is awesome with its support of everyone, I was so very lucky the day I found you.

    Sharon, I am so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. Making that quilt was a great way for you to work through the grief process. And to Barb, crying is OK. Before you know it, those tears will be happy tears remembering the good things. I pray that you will have the strength and courage to open that box and begin you quilt. lol
