pics for quilt frame

Here are some pics. My dh changed the way the legs sit (#3). It was easier to have the 2x4s connect this way (attached with screws from the outside) than to have them sitting flat on the ground as in the pattern. If I remember correctly, the pattern did not call for a brace bar. I have 2 other rails (longer) and a brace bar to make it fit with the longer rails.
The top bars are attached with carriage bolts. There is an extra hole so I can move the top bars to place the quilt at an angle.

Good Morning to a Mississippi Girl from another Mississippi Girl!! This is an awesome idea and I can't wait to show my DH, I just may add it to his huney do list~his vacation starts tomorrow ;) Thanks for sharing.

Awesome, and just found where you posted what book you got the idea from, thanks again for sharing with us
For those interested in the pattern for a hand-quilt frame -
I got my pattern from a book called The Big Book of Quilting
edited by Cassia B. Farkas.
The book was in my local library. My husband made a couple modifications on mine. But you can change the size by changing the length of the rails.
