Did you use some of the Connecting Threads Batiks in this? If so, how do they compare with the other brands?
I'm still contemplating how to quilt this. I finished the borders this evening, so will have to decide soon on the quilting. Maybe I'll just put it on the longarm and hope inspiration comes to me. :D

I did use the Connecting Threads batiks for this and really liked them. They had little fraying and sewed well. I'll definitely be buying more of them.

I have a message from my daughter for you Eddie.

"My sweet 16 is coming up soon and that would be perfect, why don't you share?"
That's the best compliment I've had in a long time. :) Tell her Thanks from me!

It's called "Dr. Watson's Cosmos" and is actually by Marilyn Eimon. It was included in the book as an example of what could be done with the method. I changed it some from her version, but only slightly here and there.

I wondered what you were going to make with all those batiks you got recently!
I see a lot of strip piecing in that design...It is beautiful! It will be a striking piece when you have finished it!! I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece! :D

It's awesome! I have seen some of your previous quilts (which are also lovely) and you're right it is way different than you normally make. I hope you're enjoying the challenge of branching out :-)
