Oh gosh!!! Now I'm slobbering all over my keyboard and I was having trouble with my puter already!! Those are fantastic pics of some fabulous work!!! Its hard to believe they are all fabric, right??!!! That horse was beautiful...is that white all around it thread painting, real fabric paint or what?? I envy you being able to oogle those in person.

Your fabrics you bought are really pretty too...can't wait to see you use those!

Thanks for the great show. Wish I could have gone too, but stayed home and got new carpet.

That looks beautiful Harmony. Did you buy the kit or just the pattern? Looking forward to seeing it done

Many of these quilts incorporated hand dyed or painted fabrics. I have many more pictures I have not posted cause I didn't want to put too many on. A lot of these are "Art" quilts, not something that I will ever do. I like to make quilts that are actually used as quilts. I should have posted more "real" quilts. I know that when I look at many of these I feel quite inadequate, cause I think I could never accomplish this. I enjoyed looking at the quilts that I could actually "do" someday.

I left off a couple of my fabrics that I bought, I had already put them away and forgot about them when I took the picture. I also have another couple fat quarters my "outlaw" (son in law's mom) has with her

Gayle--you must have had a wonderful time. I love looking at all the quilts when I go to a show too. I could/would never make an art quilt--but I love looking at them and so appreciate the time and talent that goes into them. Like you, I am more of a traditional quilter but even the more traditional ones at a show are awe inspiring. I always come home from a show all pumped from seeing all the gorgeous quilts AND from shopping all the great vendors!!!!! I am so glad you had a good time.

Holy Moly!! Some of those don't look like they could possibly be made of fabric!! Just amazing!!!! My favorites are the Poppies, and the snow scene with the tree up front. The horse is cool--but its eye was a bit poppy. :D
