I wish we could get more people interested in quilting at church. We do have a group but it's down to just three of us making quilts for shut-ins and babies. We lost 2 talented quilters who said they got too busy or wanted more time for their own art. (We only meet once a month.)

People seem to expect quilts for their babies too (usually the shut-ins or their families are surprised to get a quilt).

At one time, before I joined, the quilting group put together little packets for members to sew together, along with instructions, but people refused to follow the instructions. So much for a group project!

Good luck. I taught our Youth girls to crochet and we donated to the children's home.

So great of you to take the time to help everyone get started. Keep it going and I'll bet it keeps growing.

I love how intent everyone is. They all seem to be having a good time. And such diversity of patterns! It's really nice of you to do that.
