    I thought it would be fun for everyone to post some pictures of pincushions that you have or have made to give newbies ideas so they can join in on the pincushion swap. Here are a few I have.

    The chickens with the farm girl were filled with polyester
    The small chicks were just crocheted with cotton yarn and the mother hen is made from watching a video that was on the Quilting from the Heartland on QNN.

    Sticky the stuck up turtle is made with a bar of soap as the pincushion and I make these to go with baby shower gifts. The soap lubricates the safety pins but now hardly any of the young mothers know about cloth diapers and safety pins so I now give a package of cloth diapers and directions on how to use them.

    Aw, they are all cute, esp. the turtle and the hen! I have never made any pin cushions, but I might try to make some now!

    All of them are cute, but that turtle is my favorite...love his big eyes and hat!! :-D

    When my boys were little I used cloth diapers and had a crochet yellow duck over ivory soap for my diaper pins. Thanks for the memory!
