When the kids opened them and realized she did this, they all ran around comparing quilts to see where the pieces are from "my" quilt and where "your" quilt piece is in "mine."

Since we are working on quilts for all the nieces/nephews for Christmas, I think we'll be doing this to connect all the brothers/sisters/cousins. I can't wait to post pics of all the finished products.

That is an AWESOME idea!! :D

Actually, I have it memorized now, but when I first started, I think someone in the chat room helped me ... and, then on the "Pictures" forum, right at the top of the list, it has an instruction thread - - I think <g>.

And, Miss Feathers ... that second quilt looks like a wonderful version of the bon bons I used to buy at Woolworths whenever we would go to Astoria! looks just like a box of fine chocolates <g>
Woolworths! Now that's a great memory for me. Lunch with a thick shake at the counter, honeycomb candy, grab bags with all kinds of great stuff, and my Chatty Cathy doll are just a few!!

All the scrappies are looking great!

I'm doing this for the quilt tops I'm making for my nieces. I let them choose the colors they wanted, then set out to collect fabrics. I like scrappy quilts, so I want to have at least 40 prints per quilt. Each quilt will be "cross-pollinated" with fabrics from the other quilts. Since they are scattered around the country, I thought it might be a comfort to them.
